Ce projet s'est construit avant tout autour d'une technique : le collage. Par groupe, nous avions des parcours attribués dans le XIVe arrondissement de Paris, ponctués d'espaces d'affichage public. Chaque groupe avait la liberté de choisir le sujet de son choix pour habiller ces panneaux.
Pour ma part, j'ai eu l'opportunité de travailler avec Louise Roo et Scar Descalzi. Nous avons choisi de nous concentrer sur la cause des femmes et les violences qu'elles subissent, en nous appuyant sur des chiffres extraits d'articles, de rapports et d'études.

This project was built above all around a technique: collage. By group, we had assigned routes in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, punctuated by public display spaces. Each group had the freedom to choose the subject of their choice to adorn these panels.
For my part, I had the opportunity to work with Louise Roo and Scar Descalzi. We have chosen to focus on the cause of women and the violence they suffer, relying on figures extracted from articles, reports and studies.

Notre parcours nous faisait passer près de plusieurs écoles primaires. Nous avons donc décidé de sensibiliser les enfants à cette situation tout en fournissant des informations aux parents qui pourraient se retrouver devant ces panneaux. Chaque panneau abordait un chiffre et un thème spécifique. Au total, nous en avons créé cinq, partageant des informations soulignant la gravité de la condition des femmes tout en mettant en avant des messages porteurs d'espoir sur les changements sociaux en cours.
Les collages féministes ont constitué l'une de nos principales références. C'est pourquoi nous avons varié les niveaux d'information en écrivant nous-mêmes, à la peinture, sur certaines surfaces. L'objectif était de susciter l'engagement du spectateur en ajoutant une grille interactive à remplir et un code couleur correspondant à différentes situations vécues par les femmes. Ainsi, nous souhaitions permettre aux spectateurs de participer activement et de devenir eux-mêmes des acteurs d'une démarche statistique et symbolique.

Our route took us near several primary schools. We therefore decided to make children aware of this situation while providing information to parents who might find themselves in front of these signs. Each panel addressed a specific figure and theme. In total, we created five, sharing information highlighting the seriousness of the condition of women while highlighting messages of hope about ongoing social changes.
Feminist collages were one of our main references. This is why we varied the levels of information by writing ourselves, in paint, on certain surfaces. The objective was to encourage viewer engagement by adding an interactive grid to fill in and a color code corresponding to different situations experienced by women. Thus, we wanted to allow spectators to actively participate and themselves become actors in a statistical and symbolic approach.

S'engager dans une cause par le graphisme a représenté un tournant pour moi. Mettre mon travail au service d'une cause sociale, et plus généralement au service d'individus en difficulté, m'a profondément touché. De plus, cette approche participative et le lien créé avec le spectateur ont été une expérience extrêmement stimulante.C'est d'ailleurs ce type de projet et ces réflexions qui ont orienté mon mémoire.

Getting involved in a cause through graphic design represented a turning point for me. Putting my work at the service of a social cause, and more generally at the service of individuals in difficulty, touched me deeply. In addition, this participatory approach and the link created with the spectator were an extremely stimulating experience. It is moreover this type of project and these reflections which guided my dissertation.
