CHAPleen est venu vers moi pour qu'on parle de son prochain EP.
Il avait déjà une idée assez précise de l'ambiance et d'un possible visuel pour sa cover. Je me suis alors rapidement plongé dans son univers, très parlant pour moi par ses sonorités et ses textes planants, puis j'ai expérimenté.

CHAPleen came to me to talk about her next EP.
He already had a fairly clear idea of the atmosphere and a possible visual for his cover. I then quickly immersed myself in his universe, very meaningful for me with its sounds and its soaring lyrics, then I experimented.

Assez rapidement, la piste envisagée s'est dessinée. Un visuel de foule en mouvement, comme si l'on était submergé·e et perdu·e dans celle-ci et qu'elle allait trop vite pour nous, correspondait bien à l'ambiance des textes. Le titre Entre Autres venait appuyer cette idée d'être parmi la masse, de ne plus réussir à y échapper. En partant donc d'une image déjà existante, j'ai joué sur un flou de mouvement, venant rendre l'image moins lisible et beaucoup plus dynamique. J'ai également retravaillé les couleurs pour amener un côté froid au visuel, hivernal, bien qu'elle reste colorée et lumineuse. De la même façon, le titre se perd parmi la foule sur le visuel présent sur la face.
Pour la mise en forme des différents titres, j'ai opté pour quelques choses d'assez simple mais j'ai tout de même voulu ajouter la marque du poids informatique des différents sons en référence aux échanges avec CHAPLeen, qui m'envoyait régulièrement ses sons sur Whatsapp, qui indique en gros la taille du fichier audio.

Quite quickly, the envisaged path took shape. A visual of a moving crowd, as if we were submerged and lost in it and it was going too fast for us, corresponded well to the atmosphere of the texts. The title Among Others supported this idea of being among the mass, of no longer being able to escape it. So starting from an already existing image, I played with a motion blur, making the image less readable and much more dynamic. I also reworked the colors to bring a cold, wintery side to the visual, although it remains colorful and bright. In the same way, the title is lost among the crowd on the visual on the front.
For the formatting of the different titles, I opted for some fairly simple things but I still wanted to add the mark of the computer weight of the different sounds in reference to the exchanges with CHAPLeen, who regularly sent me his sounds on Whatsapp, which basically indicates the size of the audio file.

Ce genre de projet, modeste et simple, est toujours agréable à réaliser. J'y rencontre toujours une grande liberté dans ma démarche créative et pouvoir mettre mes compétences au service de personnes proches de moi est toujours plaisant. L'univers de la musique m'intéresse aussi et donc j'ai parfaitement pu satisfaire mes envies graphiques dans ce projet.

This type of project, modest and simple, is always pleasant to carry out. I always find great freedom in my creative approach and being able to put my skills at the service of people close to me is always pleasant. The world of music also interests me and so I was perfectly able to satisfy my graphic desires in this project.
