Cette édition est le résultat d'un workshop avec Ivan Murit. Nous devions explorer différents outils de traitement d'images en ligne, dans le but de proposer une petite exposition dans un couloir de l'école à travers des visuels imprimés en grand format.
J'ai décidé de me réapproprier mes images pour les investir dans une édition.

This edition is the result of a workshop with Ivan Murit. We had to explore different online image processing tools, with the aim of offering a small exhibition in a corridor of the 'school through large format printed visuals.
I decided to reappropriate my images to invest them in an edition.

En expérimentant sur les différents outils, certains procédés me permettant de mélanger deux images m'ont intéressé. En parallèle j'explorais des outils permettant de créer des images en Ascii. J'ai alors eu l'idée de fusionner mon image en Ascii à celle d'une pierre. Le résultat était très convaincant et j'ai prolongé cette démarche sur trois autres roches. Il en ressort finalement des sortes de tablettes épigraphiques habillées par des caractères connotés très numériques. Cette aspect presque futuriste m'a plu, ce qui m'a ensuite orienté dans le choix de pousser davantage le traitement colorimétrique et la saturation des roches. Après ces expérimentations et ces 3 visuels centraux, j'ai pu construire le décor qui est donc un dossier d'archéologie futuriste. Cette idée est marquée par les jeux de papiers, un vert fluo et d'autres plus transparents. J'ai également proposé différents traitements visuels de mes roches initiales afin d'apporter plus de profondeur, de faire ressortir certains détails et donner l'impression d'une analyse complète de ces tablettes.

By experimenting with different tools, certain processes allowing me to mix two images interested me. At the same time I explored tools allowing me to create images in Ascii. I then had the idea of ​​merge my Ascii image with that of a stone. The result was very convincing and I continued this approach on three other rocks. What ultimately emerges is a sort of epigraphic tablets dressed in very numerical connoted characters. I liked this almost futuristic aspect, which then guided me in the choice to further push the colorimetric treatment and saturation of the rocks. After these experiments and these 3 central visuals, I was able to build the decor which is therefore a futurist archeology file. This idea is marked by the sets of papers, a neon green and other more transparent ones. I also proposed different visual treatments of my initial rocks in order to provide more depth, to bring out certain details and to give the impression of a complete analysis of these tablets.

Je pense que là où ce workshop m'a été très stimulant c'est dans la réappropriation de mes propres visuels. En ayant aucun but créatif, j'ai fini par tisser une sorte de socle pour porter mes images et leur donner un fond plus important que simplement celui d'images expérimentales.

I think that where this workshop was very stimulating for me was in the reappropriation of my own visuals. By having no creative goal, I ended up weaving a sort of base to carry my images and give them a more important background than simply that of experimental images.
